Girly Girl Scarf A.K.A. Ruffle Scarf

I've heard these are a HOT item these days..how hot they will remain, I don't know, but had to try making one of them...The pattern is all over the internet...I googled "Ruffle Scarf" and found how to do it...One of the most popular yarns to make this scarf is Red Heart's "Sashay" yarn...Couldn't find that anywhere, it's sold out, this scarf is so popular. So, I used Rozetti Marina--it's a ribbon/tape/mesh type yarn...You spread it out to reveal the mesh, then knit into the holes. First, I made a red one...
I really liked the way it feels..it's a very soft acrylic and it's very flattering on. It's not something I would normally wear, but after donning it, I thought, I'm going to make one for myself in blues or aquas.....I decided to take it down to the RV park office and show it to the gal who checked us in...she's a very warm, friendly person and I knew she would give me an honest opinion. She promptly ordered one in pink one right there on the spot! I think I'm going to make several of these IF I can find the yarn in a local store or online. Michaels and Joann Fabrics don't carry this type of yarn, so it's going to be hard to find....I will try online...

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday...I'm looking forward to start making more baby stuff for my daughter, and socks, and scarves, and.......whatever strikes my fancy for the moment!

Happy New Year! May all your projects turn out with minimal "fixing", ripping out, or frustrations and that your creativity in whatever form it takes, brings you enjoyment!    Jeannie and Lyle
